Description
WSGSC is a HRSA funded regional project seeking to coordinate and increase access to genetic services for children with disorders detected by the newborn screening blood test, birth defects and with other genetic disorders. Kerry Silvey and Sylvia Au, the co-directors of WSGSC, discuss the region's work on a regional Practice Model to increase remote children's access to genetic services, activities to increase the capacity of collaborating states' and territory's public health and genetic services and how family involvment has been integral to success.
