Webinar: Comparative Effectiveness Research and Healthcare Reform
Source
Genetic Alliance webinars
Description
Through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, Congress and the Obama Administration showed their support for comparative effectiveness research (CER) as a tool for reforming our healthcare system by way of a $1.1 billion investment. But what really is comparative effectiveness research, and what could be its impact on the healthcare system? This webinar provides participants with a background on CER, including what has been going on and the organizations and agencies involved, and engage the audience in a discussion of the potential benefits and pitfalls of the research, as well as what we hope the outcomes will be.
