This session is the first of two webinars preceding Genetics Day on the Hill 2009. After a review of the agenda for the event, Karen Hendricks, Director of Policy Development at the Trust for America’s Health, teaches Genetics Day participants and other interested individuals the basics of meeting with Congressional offices. She provides an overview of Congress, discusses the legislative process, and shares strategies for success in communicating with policymakers and making an impact in the policymaking process.
