Webinar: From Risk Assessment to Lifestyle Choices: What Does it Mean to be a Previvor?
Source
Genetic Alliance webinars
Description
With a simple genetic test, it is now possible to determine risk factors for developing certain diseases such as breast cancer or even non-health related characteristics. But how is this information explained and what applications does it hold? This webinar explores risk assessment in terms of societal responses from the general public, community, and family, as well as behavioral changes in individuals. We compare the direct-to-consumer experience, as well as the clinical responses explored in the REVEAL study by Dr. Robert Green.

Presenters:
Robert Green - Co-Director, Alzheimer's Disease Clinical & Research Program, Boston University [PowerPoint Presentation]
Marc Williams - Director, Clinical Genetics Institute, Intermountain Healthcare
Grant Wood - Senior IT Strategist, Clinical Genetics Institute, Intermountain Healthcare
