Document Description
African Americans are disproportionately affected by most diseases, some of which can be mitigated by improving lifestyle factors. To address the need for information on the relationship between genetics, the environment, and family health history, the Human Genome Center at Howard University developed community-based workshops. The workshops include two educational booklets, a family health history tool, and a trigger video all aimed at increasing awareness of genetics-related issues.
